As a Member of the Tillamook Bay Community Education School Board, I would like to endorse Ross Tomlin for a position on the Bend-La Pine School Board. Ross has accomplished many things throughout his career, and as President of the local community college, he worked tirelessly to create a safe, inclusive, caring atmosphere for students, faculty and staff, while maintaining a sound fiscal environment. Thanks to Ross’s leadership, student support is a top priority. While Ross was leading TBCC, we were able to successfully move the community to support a bond that allowed for us to build a new Health Education Building on our campus. This new building will provide a much-needed meeting place for the community as well. Ross helped build a strong community bond with employers and businesses, creating educational programs that help students move from a community college to well-paying jobs, helping employers, students and the community. I highly recommend Ross for a position on the Bend-La Pine School Board.

I enthusiastically endorse Ross Tomlin for the Bend-LaPine school board. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Tomlin for 7 years when he was the President of Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) and I was on his board. He is a strong and steady leader, thoughtful, effective and fiscally conservative. Under Dr. Tomlin's leadership, TBCC's enrollment and programming grew, and the college successfully secured funding to build a new healthcare education building. He shepherded our community college through the pandemic, during which TBCC was one of the only community colleges in the state to grow in enrollment. Bend-LaPine is fortunate indeed to have Dr. Tomlin on the school board, and I encourage voters to support him.
